The glittering night of ESPYs (Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) was filled with jest. The NBA Finals MVP, Steph Curry, put on his funny-man suit and had the audience in splits. He became the perfect host of the event. However, the host indulged in playful banter with the GOAT Tom Brady.

 

While poking fun at almost the entire sports universe, Curry’s next target was the NFL legend, Tom Brady! Steph Curry seemed to know why the star QB came out of his short-lived retirement. The NBA player said, “After celebrating three kids’ birthdays in two weeks, I finally understand why Tom Brady keeps coming back to work.”

Curry took a jab at the legendary Bucs’ shot-caller. On the other hand, it is not a tough grind for Brady to enjoy a fun time with his family.

Tom Brady and his retirement

The Tampa Bay QB sent shock waves through the NFL world when he announced his retirement on February 1st, only to come back after 41 days. The reason to unretire, as said by Tom Brady, was, “I felt some pressure to do it and talked to the team and organization, and it all worked out.”

Some fans speculate the GOAT has returned to win the Super Bowl for the eighth time and it is also believed that Brady will retire after that; a $375 million analyst contract with FOX awaits. So, winning the Super Bowl title is only fitting, as it will offer the athlete a legendary end to his magnificent long-running career.
