Aaron Rodgers is undoubtedly one of the best QBs to play in the game. During his 17-season career primarily with the Green Bay Packers, he established his excellence on the field numerous times. Rodgers led the Packers to a Super Bowl XLV win in the 2010 season. So it comes as no surprise that many defensive players in the league consider him a headache to deal with on the field.
But even if A-Rod is a force to be reckoned with, he is still human. And like any other human, he also possesses certain weaknesses in his game. And recently, his secrets have been revealed by a certain defensive player who’s played together with NFL GOAT Tom Brady.

Tom Brady’s former Buccaneers teammate Ndamukong Suh is well-versed in playing Aaron Rodgers in the NFL. During the first five years of his career with the Detroit Lions, Suh played Rodgers almost twice every year. The rivalry between the two is years old. While never particularly fond of each other, they share a mutual professional respect for the game. And now Suh has come forward to talk about how Rodgers’ plays can be shut down from a defensive point of view in the NFL.

In a recent clip posted by NFL Total Access, we see the DT break down a play by Aaron Rodgers in order to talk about how one can stop him on the field. Suh said that “Aaron Rodgers is one of those guys that loves to roll out of a pocket and make big plays.” So according to the DT, the best way to get Rodgers to make mistakes is to build pressure. If a player can build pressure and stay in close proximity of the QB, that is when the 4X MVP throws passes and makes plays that can be countered by the other team.

And Suh doesn’t just speak from the analysis. It is his own practical experience of playing against A-Rod in the league for years. But it is still a mystery whether the rivals will go head to head again in the league, as Suh still remains a free agent.
Will the rivals face each other again in the NFL?
Ndamukong Suh has a record of playing every game in the last 10 seasons apart from his 2022 campaign with the Philadelphia Eagles. The 36-year-old veteran DT now sits as a free agent, as he will be looking forward to signing with another team for his 14th season in the NFL. But the DT has opened up about now being eager to find a team soon, as he does not want to grind in the training camp and jump straight into week 1. With Rodgers now gearing up to play for the New York Jets in the new season, it will be interesting to see where Suh lands, before they get the chance to face off again on the field.
