As a head coach, Bill Belichick has a ton of acclaim. Fans know him as one of the best coaches in the NFL. But despite his storied accolades, the fans seem to have a divisive perspective on the HC/GM. While “cool” and “Belichick” never really seem to go together, OT Trent Brown uses the same term to describe the HC.

Bill Belichick has the vision of finding riches from the mine of new athletes. As he moves further into the next campaign, he expands the Patriots into a dominant force. Tom Brady, one of Belichick’s heroes, has had immense success in his run at New England. The HC/GM is trying to make Mac Jones the perfect successor of the Super Bowl-worthy era.

Trent Brown said on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ that the mainstream press and outcast notoriety of Bill Belichick isn’t what his players see from him daily. Moreover, OT Brown has played for Bill Belichick twice in New England and is familiar with the head trainer.

Trent Brown mentions, “I think a lot of people have his personality misconstrued, just because — and that’s another thing I love about him — with the Patriots we keep s*it in house. Whatever people speculate on the outside is just what they speculate, but they’ll never really get any truths from inside the building…Inside the building, he’s a cool guy. Super cool. Lot of personality.”

Brown was never hesitant to voice his personal opinions on situations. But his recent interview gives weight to the idea that he enjoys Bill Belichick’s organization within the facility. Perhaps he isn’t that person many think of him to be.

Will Bill Belichick Consider Coaching Another Sport?

For Bill Belichick, coaching seems to run in his blood. Moreover, he doesn’t want to get off it. Although, if not the NFL, Belichick has another game to coach in mind. Paul Rabil, the co-founder of the Professional Lacrosse League, said during the ‘Pardon My Take’ podcast that Belichick is open to joining the PLL as a coach after he finishes mentoring the Patriots. The PLL co-founder looked serious when he said it.

Interestingly, the Belichick bloodline has a rich history in lacrosse as well. Amanda Belichick, daughter of Bill, is the head coach of the Holy Cross female lacrosse program. Bill himself was the skipper of a university lacrosse team. While it’s pure speculation, the Patriots’ HC could forge ahead and move on from the Patriots. There are many alternatives available, and lacrosse is one of them.
