The 2023 NFL offseason has seen quite a few star wide receivers find a new home in the league. Odell Beckham Jr. and future superstar Zay Flowers enrolled for the Ravens. Lombardi-winning KC Chiefs WR duo, Juju Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman made their way to the AFC East. That leaves out Arizona Cardinals wideout DeAndre Hopkins. After hinting at wanting out of Arizona, a potential new trading scenario emerged as a part of the NFL draft night.

According to Pro Football Talk and Dov Kleiman, Tennessee Titans have surfaced as a legitimate destination for the former Houston Texans wide receiver. The Cardinals were initially open to these talks in hopes of retooling their franchise better. However, since then, contrasting reports have emerged after the first round of drafting ended.

Although the initial news came as a shocker to a few franchises, who were hoping to acquire Hopkins this offseason, the tension settled once first-year Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort cleared the air around his wide receiver’s immediate future. During the press conference last night, he said, “DeAndre is a Cardinal and we are moving forward.” Asked about a potential trade, he said, “I don’t foresee that happening. I don’t know what is going to happen in the next couple of days, but right now I don’t foresee that happening.”

That’ll put a dent in the Tennessee expectations. However, it still keeps the door open for a move to one of the franchises DeAndre Hopkins wants to play for.

DeAndre Hopkins has had six 1000-plus receiving yards seasons in his ten years in the NFL. The 5x Pro Bowler from Clemson surely has hopes to clinch a Lombardi victory before calling it quits. He has already made it clear that he is not looking for more money. And in a recent Q&A session, Hopkins expressed his desire to play for the reigning champions, Kansas City Chiefs, or Buffalo Bills.

The Bills Mafia have had their hopes up for a long time ever since Hopkins said some words of praise for the franchise and their QB, Josh Allen. “Love the Buffalo Bills, love everything about the organization, love Josh Allen, you know, love Stefon Diggs, love all those guys. I like the organization, what they’re doing,” he told Fantasy Football Today this week.
