As Aaron Rodgers makes full use of his time to ponder over his future in the NFL, the New York Jets are making it super hard for the 39-year-old quarterback to reject their offer. And it’s not just the ownership and organization that are doing their part. The players are in too. But how far can a team go to add a back-to-back MVP to their roster? A Jets CB has resorted to using supernatural powers to lure A-Rod into the team.
Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner promised he’ll part with his Packers-trashing cheesecake top hat if Aaron Rodgers came to the Gang Green this season. However, Sauce went one step ahead to impress the veteran quarterback, and it involved black magic.
Sauce Gardner invokes the other-worldly for Rodgers
“Hey Aaron Rodgers, I promise if you become a Jet, I won’t pick you off in practice and I’ll burn the Cheesehead,” Sauce had said this week after the Jets ownership confirmed flying out to California to have a meeting with Aaron and his team, including a dinner later. And looks like last year’s NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year is a man of his word.

Gardner appeared in a YouTube video on his channel with his Jets teammates to perform the ultimate sacrifice and fulfill, for now, the second part of his promise to Rodgers. In the presence of Jets running back Breece Hall and Offensive Rookie of the Year wideout, Garrett Wilson, Sauce burnt his Cheesehead sun hat until it was “cheese sauce.”

Some of the flames even hit Gardner and Wilson, but it was probably part of the sacrifice. “It’s gone,” the trio said before wishing they had some smores to roast in the fire.
What the group thinks the Jets can achieve with Aaron Rodgers
“You know, that was my rookie season. Let’s put that behind,” Sauce said of his past trash-talking behavior in the ‘Cheesehead sacrifice’ video. The trio took a big risk for A-Rod, attempting to light a firepit for the very first time.
“I just know it’s gonna be precise,” Garrett Wilson said on being asked about possibly having Aaron Rodgers throw him some dots.
“You see what you’re gonna have over here? You might as well make that move,” Breece Hall said, pointing to the young group and trying to entice Rodgers. “Need you to come in so that we can win a Super Bowl,” Sauce finally said.

The trio also said during a live stream later that the Green Bay Packers signal-caller will be the perfect package deal for New York.

And it’s not just the young core. Even Jets legend and Super Bowl III winner Joe Namath wants the 4x league MVP to be Broadway-bound. And he has even offered A-Rod his iconic No 12 jersey. With the past and the present tugging hard, it might be difficult for Rodgers to hold on longer. He hasn’t told anything to either the Packers or the Jets yet.
