“Next to Mike Tomlin, He Just Got Out of a Coffin”: Brothers Jason and Travis Kelce Pick Out on NFL Head Coaches as Annual Team Meeting Photo Makes Rounds on the Internet

Every year, during the NFL owners’ meeting, there’s something else that happens apart from the emergence of new rules and regulations. The head coaches of billion-dollar franchises come together and take a group picture reminiscent of class photographs in Kindergarten.

It’s a spectacle that’s etched in the memories of every football fanatic, and this years photograph is no exception. As entertaining as the photo already is, this time it was made even more hilarious by the commentary of two well know NFL players. Super Bowl LVII winner Travis Kelce got along with his brother Jason to lightly pick on HCs’ in this year’s photo, and their takes were quite hilarious.

Travis Kelce and Jason break down this year’s Annual HC photo

After tickling the funny bones of the NFL world with his SNL debut, Travis Kelce continued to show his humorous side with his brother as they both got together to dissect the annual team meeting photo. The brother duo got together on their New Heights show to react hilariously to each and every coach captured in the photo.

While going through the picture, Jason said, “My man next to Mike Tomlin, looks like, he just got out of a coffin. When was the last time that he’s seen the sun?” This comment left Travis chuckling away at the words of his brother. Jason then went on further to comment that HC Brian Daboll looked like he took all the sun and put it on top of his own head.

The duo then further went on to talk about how Andy Reid looked uncomfortable sitting at the front as it looks like he was being squashed from both sides. Bill Belichick was sitting next to Reid and according to the brothers, it looked like they did not wish to touch each other. The NFL owners’ meeting is truly one of its kind when it comes to the head coach photo session. 

What was on the agenda for the 2023 Owners meeting?

The Annual owners’ meeting of the NFL is the time when owners, coaches, and league officials come forward to discuss the problems and challenges facing the upcoming season in the league. In this year’s annual meeting, 17 rules and five bylaw proposals will be the heated topic of discussion for the days to come. The two themes that are the major topics of discussion are “competitive equity” and “player safety”. Player safety is an important topic to highlight, as last season we saw many players being injured during their games on the field.

While they discuss these proposed motions at the top level, there might be a few tweaks fans can expect to see in the 2023 season of the NFL.
