Right now, making headlines for her marriage disputes with Tom Brady, Gisele Bündchen was once in the middle of a Vogue cover fight between Cristiano Ronaldo and compatriot Neymar Jr.

Gisele Bündchen and soccer star Neymar Jr collaborated with each other for a cover photoshoot for Vogue Magazine Brazil in 2014. Both hail from the country, which is one of the most dominant nations to compete in soccer. Nearing the 2014 Fifa world, the cover was a promotion for their national team. However, the cover became the subject of a battle with Vogue Portugal’s covers at the same time. And the face of Portugal was no other than Cristiano Ronaldo.

How did Neymar’s cover with Gisele Bündchen spark a battle?

While, CR7 at the time chose a much bold approach. Neymar and Gisele opted to be chic and simple. In the preceding weeks, the Portuguese starred on the cover with his then partner, Irina Shayk. Those covers received a lot of criticism for the star, revealing a lot more than what was necessary.

He was speculated to make around $115 million dollar a year. Also being one of the most followed people on Instagram, he earns a lot of lucrative endorsement deals.

Neymar Jr

The star player for Brazil and the next best after Messi and Ronaldo for a long time. Neymar follows suit with Ronaldo after being ranked 4th on the list. Still the most expensive player in the world. Neymar shook the world with his  $244 million move to Paris Saint Germain. He makes around $95 million a year.

Tom Brady

The quarterback who has won more Super Bowls than any team over the history of the NFL also shows up in the list. However, when compared to the other two, he is not quite so close. Making the 9th spot in the list, he will be looking at an $83 million annual income.

Even though it is well-documented how he has let go of more lucrative deals to help make the team stronger. He will be roping in a lot from his activities outside the playing field.
