Former San Francisco 49ers All-Pro tight end Vernon Davis has added another project to his growing multimedia arsenal. This time, he is taking on the role of a serial killer in the new film ‘The Ritual Killer’. The film will see Davis starring alongside Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman. The film, which was released on March 10, is a small-scale production directed by Benjamin Brewer and co-stars Cole Hauser. 

The plot follows a detective on the brink of retirement who teams up with a professor of African Studies. They track down a serial killer who is practicing the ancient black magic ritual of Muti. With Freeman and Davis on board, the film is generating a lot of buzz. Davis plays the central antagonist, a role that is a departure from his previous work in television. What has Vernon Davis been up to since leaving the league?

Davis retired from the NFL in 2020 after a successful 14-year career. His illustrious career saw him play for the San Francisco 49ers, the Denver Broncos and the Washington Commanders.
