The Buffalo Bills have enjoyed a great season this time around. Led by star quarterback Josh Allen, the Bills currently have an 11-3 record. Last night, after securing a win over the Denver Broncos, the Bills secured 1st place in the AFC East. This is a great victory for a team that has a turbulent history.

NFL analyst Peter Schrager spoke on Good Morning Football about the Buffalo Bills. Schrager was full of praise for their star quarterback, Josh Allen.

He believes that Allen is one of, if not the best quarterback in the NFL right now. “He’s might playing better than any other quarterback in football right now. He might be the best quarterback in football as we wake up this morning.”

Schrager spoke about how much misery the Buffalo Bills have suffered in the past. He believes that this team has been great this year, as they are young, well-coached, and have a tremendous leader in Josh Allen.

Schrager said that their success is warranted, and not an overnight success story. He said, “If you think about Bills fans, what they’ve been through with Trent Edwards, JP Losman…

“It has been 25 years since they’ve had this feeling and it’s not just an overnight success. It is not like it is going away or it is fleeting. They’re so young, they’re so well-coached, and this guy is awesome.”

Josh Allen and Buffalo Bills – Unexpected success story

Schrager spoke about what makes Josh Allen so good. He compared him to another star quarterback in the NFL; Kansas City Chiefs‘ Patrick Mahomes.

He believes that, in comparison to Mahomes, Allen is very underrated. Schrager described how important Josh Allen was in their recent 3-week run where they won important prime-time games.

“He was amazing on Saturday. This past year is insanity. The stuff that Mahomes does, you say, ‘ Oh wow, only Mahomes can do that’…

“I think Allen can do it too. He has the strongest arm in football. We’re coming off of 3 straight weeks of prime time games. Bills won all of these games… Josh Allen is dealing.”

Schrager revealed that while he does enjoy their underdog story, the Bills are legitimate contenders for the Super Bowl. “I love the feel-good Buffalo story. I think they’re over that.

“They’re thinking bigger things. They’re not thinking we got in the playoffs and we won the AFC East. This could be the Super Bowl winner this year, and that could be the Super Bowl MVP. They are that good and that dangerous”

While the Bills will be happy with their regular-season successes, they will be focused on performing well in the Playoffs. If they remain focused, they can reach the Super Bowl.
