Aaron Rodgers has spent 18 years with the Green Bay Packers since coming into the NFL in 2005. And while he has achieved a lot with the franchise, the QB has struggled a bit this season. Are Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre similar?

Colin Cowherd is a big name when it comes to NFL analysis. And he says that for him, the Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is becoming what Brett Favre was  at the end of his career. Speaking on his ‘The Colin Cowherd Podcast’, he compared the two Packers legends. And he came up with four sharp similarities between them.

“I think it’s interesting how Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre have, largely in their playing career at least, become the same person. Difficult, threatening retirement, undecided, not willing to embrace new coaching styles,” Cowherd said. The analyst then gave his reasons that made him think about the issue.

“I mean who did Rodgers want back when Nathaniel Hackett left for Denver? His 70-year-old quarterback coach. Aaron doesn’t want new things. He struggled with rookie receivers. At the end, Favre became very stubborn, and that’s sort of what Aaron Rodgers is,” Cowherd added.

Favre played for the Packers for 15 seasons from 1992 to 2005. And when Rodgers came to the organization in 2005, he served as a backup to the veteran QB. Maybe he might have picked up some traits while he was an understudy.
