Aaron Rodgers has spent 18 years with the Green Bay Packers since coming into the NFL in 2005. And while he has achieved a lot with the franchise, the QB has struggled a bit this season. But he is still going strong at the age of 39, much like his predecessor, who retired at the age of 41. An NFL analyst has drawn four sharp similarities between the two quarterbacks, who are both legendary in their own right.

Are Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre similar?
Colin Cowherd is a big name when it comes to NFL analysis. And he says that for him, the Packers QB Aaron Rodgers is becoming what Brett Favre was at the end of his career. Speaking on his ‘The Colin Cowherd Podcast’, he compared the two Packers legends. And he came up with four sharp similarities between them.
“I think it’s interesting how Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre have, largely in their playing career at least, become the same person. Difficult, threatening retirement, undecided, not willing to embrace new coaching styles,” Cowherd said. The analyst then gave his reasons that made him think about the issue.

Favre played for the Packers for 15 seasons from 1992 to 2005. And when Rodgers came to the organization in 2005, he served as a backup to the veteran QB. Maybe he might have picked up some traits while he was an understudy.

The Packers stumbling but almost home
Aaron Rodgers has achieved a lot as the Packers QB1 since Brett Favre left. And he has the same number of Super Bowl titles as his predecessor, who played in the league for two whole decades. And he is a Super Bowl MVP, something Favre could not achieve.

His credentials are never in doubt. But Rodgers has looked vulnerable this season. And he has stumbled with his team. But then again, he is still almost home. The Packers are 8-8 this season and need to win their final regular season game to make it to the playoffs. The Detroit Lions are not a pushover team and are raring to go. But Rodgers has a point to prove. Has he still got it?
