“To me, these are the guys that go on to the Super Bowl. Allen, Brady, Burrow, Herbert, Mahomes. Rogers Matthew Stafford, Russell Wilson. I think Derek Carr and Kyler Murray are darn close. Lamar Jackson, maybe two I’m not sure. I think Kyler, I think Dak, and Lamar can win maybe a playoff game or two. I think Derek Carr’s darn close, I like Derek way more than the market. Kyler Murray bags a humongous deal

The Oklahoma product surprised the fans with his recent contract that he signed last week. The deal assures him $46.1 million per year on average, putting him just behind the Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers. Murray will get $105 million at the time of signing, making him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL.

Despite all these developments, the thing that caught everyone’s attention was a special clause that was included in Murray’s contract. It contained a compulsory “independent study” clause that keeps the quarterback busy with having homework, apart from team meetings and training sessions for four hours every week throughout the season.

Several sporting celebrities and fans criticized this move. Later, they removed it from the contract. Although, it raised questions regarding Murray’s performance and preparations for the games. It seems Kyler Murray, who will play in the fourth NFL season, has to prove himself as the tier-1 QB.
