But some believe that an upset might be on the cards. Despite having a calamitous 2020 season, optimism is brewing in the Cowboys camp with the return of Dak Prescott and many other key components of the team.

Yet one NFL analyst believes that the Cowboys winning could end up being down to reasons beyond their control. Such as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers playing out a stinker.

Dallas Cowboys set to take advantage of Tampa Super Bowl hangover

During a segment of First Things First, NFL analyst Nick Wright said that while Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski know how to handle success, the rest of the roster might still be suffering from a Super Bowl hangover. And with complacency creeping in, the Dallas Cowboys could take advantage.

“I do think that while Tom Brady and Gronk know how to handle offseason success these other guys at Tampa up to an including one Bruce Arians, I feel like are maybe still celebrating,” said Wright.

Wright took things one step further by specifically targeting Bucs Head Coach Bruce Arians for supposedly having a bit too much fun.

“I know Bruce Arians always gets a lot of time in the sun. But my goodness, I feel like he’s been on a beach share with a Corona for 36 days in a row given the colorization of his face… Like I feel that Tampa is maybe (still) enjoying the Super Bowl. So I think the Cowboys could be right for an upset on Thursday night.”

The Cowboys defeating the Buccaneers would indeed be a big upset. Beating the defending Super Bowl champs would provide them with the perfect start to their campaign.
