Late in last season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a bold move. The management signed veteran RB Kenjon Barner to the practice squad. He came in as a replacement for Giovani Bernard after the veteran RB injured his hip. In addition, the Baltimore Ravens also made major strides after signing a veteran RB. The Ravens signed Mike Davis on a one-year contract after a relatively short stint with the Falcons.

The Giants signed Matt Breida. Apart from these teams, the Cowboys signed veteran RB Ryan Nall in the offseason.
