For the past few months Ravens quarterback, Lamar Jackson was under the radar of NFL fans and veterans. Especially as he is entering the final year of his contract and has not agreed upon an extension. Recently, the Hall of Famer Steve Young came forward claiming that the Ravens are not letting Jackson unleash his true potential.

The Louisville product has been the backbone of the Ravens since 2018. He got selected in the first round of that year’s draft. Even though he couldn’t win a Super Bowl title, the youngster is regarded as one of the emerging talents in the league. Moreover, his recent records, passion, and commitment to the franchise have left many speechless.

In a recent interview, the former Niners quarterback, Steve Young, affirmed that Jackson has the potential to become “the greatest player in the history of the game.

Young explained that in order to understand the ability of a passer to offer, with an amazing offensive unit. “They will never get to championship football without a sophisticated passing game. That’s not anything to do with Lamar Jackson. Lamar Jackson is a complete player that is being not trained in being a sophisticated passer,” Young said.

He reiterated that if the Ravens are unable to make the quarterback happy then they must end doing business with this youngster and look for someone else around.

“I want the full measure, Robert, of who Lamar Jackson is and the full measure is not being brought forward by the Ravens, and if that’s not the case then get out and find someone who will,” he added to his explanation.

As mentioned above, the quarterback is gearing up to play in the fifth season of his rookie contract. Once the regular season begins, the franchise won’t be able to agree with him. And looking at the current market, Jackson is a hot prospect, and any team would love to have a young gunslinger by their side.

While Jackson vows to take care of his deal on his own, he doesn’t have an agent to handle the negotiations. This makes the situation even more difficult. After Kyler Murray signed a whopping $230.5 million contract this offseason, expectations from the fans have soared high.

Recently, the quarterback was rumored to have been offered $250 million. But turns out, that the figures were just fabricated. Although Jackson vowed to focus on the upcoming season, it will be interesting to see if he can make a deal within this time frame.
