NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders was sharing his feelings about the Will Smith-Chris Rock feud in a recent video. The legendary cornerback was quizzing his Jackson State University staff and players on what they would have done if they were in Chris Rock’s position. Sanders refers to the unfortunate confrontation which took place between Hollywood actor Will Smith and stand-up comedian Chris Rock.

Smith, after being unhappy about Rock’s comments, ended up slapping him while being live on-air. Unfortunately, it was a moment that took the shine away from the evening and headlines for tabloids.

While Smith has since apologized for his actions, the incident seems to be well and truly in the past.

On his official Instagram account, Sanders was conducting quick-fire interviews in an Instagram shorts format with his players and staff. The response about what they will do in Rock’s shoes had varying comments. Some players who came in front of the camera either would have taken a swing back at Smith, while some coaches were hinting at avoiding further confrontations.

While Sanders feels for both the entertainers, he was requesting the well-respected pair to maintain composure and refrain from anger outdoors. The incident is a lesson about when emotions run high and when restraint needs to be shown by both parties.
