The NFL legend Shannon Sharpe has placed his verdict on former 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick. Colin completed his workouts with the Las Vegas Raiders last Wednesday. The announcement of the athlete going for a workout session with the Raiders came in as a surprise to everyone. Shannon Sharpe on the UNDISPUTED show praised the effort made by the Raiders and he can’t wait to see Kaepernick join them.

Shannon, on the show, said, “I do believe he needs to be the second quarterback. You’re not gonna keep because the third quarterback is probably more times than not gonna dress. And you’re not going to need Colin Kaepernick as your third quarterback.” Although Kaepernick has been away from the football field for 5-years, he has a shot at being the Raider’s 2nd quarterback.
The NFL legend further adds, “You could take this undrafted guy. You can take a Nick Mullins and let him be the Scout team guy. So for me, Kap hopefully, he has a great day throwing. Hopefully, he shows that you know what I still got it. They bring him to camp. He can knock some of the rust off…”
For the Raiders, Nick Mullins has shown an average performance, and Colin could fill that void. Kaepernick has had a great workout session with the Raiders, and there is a possibility he has impressed Mark Davis. Now the coming days will prove what will be of the former 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick.

Shannon also mentioned the current starting QB for the Raiders, Derek Carr, who has been in good form and definitely won’t miss out on any games. But, unfortunately, if there is an issue, then Colin should be there to back him up. Colin has experience starting as a quarterback, and he has also led the 49ers to the Super Bowl. Colin Kaepernick is a good shot for the Raiders to improve their offense.

The workouts have appeared to be the golden opportunity for the talented QB Colin Kaepernick. Playing 6 seasons for the 49ers, Kaepernick has been away from the game ever since his last performance in the 2016 season. The last workout he did was in 2017 when he flew to Seattle with the Seahawks.
