NFL Legend Peyton Manning Got Into Legal Trouble For His ‘Idiot Kicker’ Remark On Former Indianapolis Colts Teammate

Peyton Manning was the first quarterback ever to win Super Bowls with two different teams. He won his first Super Bowl with the Indianapolis Colts and added another one with the Denver Broncos.
The Super Bowl win in 2007 with Indianapolis might have been the best moment of Manning’s career. To win a Super Bowl with the team that drafted you is a special achievement. However, once during his time with the Colts, Manning got into legal trouble due to another player.

Peyton Manning called Mike Vanderjagt “an idiot.” Vanderjagt was the punter for the Colts during that time. Later, Peyton Manning was interrogated due to a defamation suit filed against him. Manning was later asked about it during the Pro Bowl.
The two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback said, “Here we are, I’m out at my third Pro Bowl, I’m about to go in and throw a touchdown to Jerry Rice, we’re honoring the Hall of Fame, and we’re talking about our idiot kicker who got liquored up and ran his mouth off,” He added, “The sad thing is, he’s a good kicker. He’s a good kicker. But he’s an idiot.”

Due to the whole instance, Mike Vanderjagt isn’t liked by many Colts fans. On the other hand, Peyton Manning is a legend who’ll always be celebrated in Indianapolis.

The Indianapolis Colts haven’t won a Super Bowl since 2007. They haven’t been able to replace Peyton Manning properly. As a result, the team has been lacking success for the past 15 years.
The Colts now have Matt Ryan as their new quarterback. Expectations are once again quite high for them. Last season, they looked like a contender but lost in a bizarre fashion to the Jacksonville Jaguars in their last game of the regular season.
