NFL franchise Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady becoming one of the best to play the game was something unforeseen nearly 22 years ago. However, a clip recently resurfaced on social media of the late great sportscaster John Madden with his uncanny observations and beliefs in the ability of the legendary QB. It was a 2002 clip starring Madden with his co-host Al Michaels during a Monday Night Football game discussing then-New England Patriots QB Tom Brady.

The clip that was found on Twitter was from the time the Patriots were led by head coach Bill Belichick and a third-year rookie QB in Brady. The season-opening game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was being covered by both Madden and Michaels.

While talking about Brady and his game, Madden states, “Tom Brady and his calmness reminds me of Joe Montana. I’m not saying Tom Brady is Joe Montana but I’m saying the way he gets back there and makes everything look so effortlessly and easy.
