Former 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick has been away from the football field since 2016. Last month, Kaepernick worked out with the Las Vegas Raiders. Well, there are few details of the workout available, but the Raiders have still not signed the deal with the star QB.

Recently, legendary quarterback Michael Vick known for his straightforward comments came to support Kaepernick. Vick thinks Kaepernick still has the qualities of a good quarterback and will be back soon in the game.
The quarterback rushing yards leader, Vick said, “I think it will happen in due time. He’s been out of the league a couple of years and he hasn’t played in a long time, it’d probably be smart to just come in a backup role, and just play that backup role for two or three years. And, when you get an opportunity to start, you show that you can play. You win a series of games. You win five or six games.”
While many think that Kaepernick’s workout with the Raiders was not up to the mark, Vick sees a ray of hope in Kaepernick. He thinks the Raiders might seek Kaepernick to play as backup to the Las Vegas Raiders‘ starting QB Derek Carr.
Michael Vick made a comeback in football after a gap of years
the Atlanta Falcons drafted the legendary quarterback Michael Vick as the overall No. 1 pick in the 2001 NFL Draft. He played his starting six seasons with the Falcons till 2006. He missed two seasons in 2007 and 2008 because of the Violation of the league’s conduct policy. In 2009 he joined the Philadelphia Eagles and played five seasons with them.
Vick made three Pro Bowls in the six years he played with the Falcons. After he returned to football in 2009 with the Eagles, he made it to his fourth Pro Bowl and won a Comeback Player of the Year Award.

At the moment, Kaepernick’s inspiration should be Michael Vick, who made one of the best comebacks in the NFL after being away for two years.
Kaepernick was the first NFL player to take a knee during the national anthem before the game to protest against police brutality and social injustice. After being released by the San Francisco 49ers in 2016, no other team signed a deal with the former star, and he remains a free agent to date.
