Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs’ Super Bowl catalyst, has crushed his competition. However, he may not be the only one who blew people’s minds with a huge contract.
The most interesting factor would be the lucrative deals athletes have been receiving in recent decades. A large number of NFL, MLB, and boxing luminaries are also among them. Some contracts in multiple competitions are so rich that they had already reached the ranking of the most profitable sporting agreements of any and all times.

A Battle Of Contract Behemoths
Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, has agreed to a deal worth $503 million. This marks him being the very first player in sports history to sign a deal valued at more than half a billion dollars. Sportac says the agreement with the Kansas City Chiefs to be a ten-year, $450 million deal that includes a $10 million signing bonus, $141 million in guaranteed money, and an average yearly salary of $45 million.
Mahomes will make $1.5 million in basic pay, $27.4 million in signing bonus, and $550,000 in workout bonus in 2022, with a cap hit of $35 million and a dead cap value of $130 million.

If you think Mahomes got a big contract, this is where the baseball players’ dominance began. Bryce Harper, an MLB player, signed a 13-year contract with the Philadelphia Phillies in March 2019. According to Sportac, the contract featured a $20 million signing bonus and a $330 million guarantee. Over the course of 13 years, that equates to a salary of $25m+/year.

Both Mahomes and Harper are among the top players in their respective sports. The Kansas City Chiefs QB features himself as a Hall of Famer in the making. Phillies also locked Bryce into a gigantic deal. Expect to make them some major hits in the upcoming seasons.
