Bill Belichick’s New England Patriots find themselves on a 2-3 record heading into Week Seven. The AFC East franchise is third in their Division behind the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins. They will be desperate for a win on Sunday as they gear up for a tough clash at the Gillette Stadium.
Meanwhile, last year’s Super Bowl runner-up San Francisco 49ers are having a tough outing in the league this year. They are last in the NFC West and are dealing with an injury pile up to star players. Head coach Kyle Shanahan will need to find a solution to the 49ers’ woes, sooner rather than later.
Here’s a detailed look at both teams, along with injury updates and Week Seven game day predictions.

New England Patriots find themselves in rough waters ahead of their fixture against the San Francisco 49ers tonight. They suffered a shock 12-18 defeat to the Denver Broncos last weekend. Cam Newton, in particular, had a game to forget. The veteran NFL shot-caller will look to prove a point to his doubters by turning in a fine display against the 49ers.
Newton threw 17 of 25 for 157 yards with two interceptions. He will rely on wide receiver Julian Edelman and RB James White to provide him with support in the offense. Stephen Gilmore will be crucial in defense in order to thwart the likes of George Kittle and Deebo Samuel.

Star quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo will return to the Gillette Stadium on Sunday. He spent some time in Chicago after the Patriots drafted him in the 2014 NFL draft event as a second-round pick.
The 49ers put up a convincing display last weekend to beat the Los Angeles Rams. They will look to continue that momentum against Bill Belichick’s Patriots tonight. However, they will have their work cut out as they have been dealing with a massive injury pile-up and will be without RB Raheem Mostert. The resurgent Jerick ‘Jet’ McKinnon will be expected to step up in Mostert’s absence in order to utilize Shanahan’s famed running scheme.

This might be one of the closest games to call this season. Both teams are underperforming this year, but we feel that Bill Belichick will guide his team to a win on Sunday. Bill Belichick has a 4-1 record against the 49ers. Cam Newton needs to step up if the Patriots want to move up in the AFC East table and make the playoffs in 2020.
