Last week, the Green Bay Packers recruited Jordan Love from the NFL Draft, even though they already have Aaron Rodgers. Some suspect that Rodgers’ time may soon be up and he could be let go. According to pundit Skip Bayless, “Aaron Rodgers is no longer Aaron Rodgers, he’s in decline. 3 straight years the stats have fallen and fallen. And now the two men who run the Packers, Gutekunst and LaFleur, are saying: ‘We not seeing it anymore with Aaron.'”

Bayless noted that majority of his stats have plummeted, from QBR to completion percentage. While he acknowledged that it is harsh, he firmly believes that Aaron Rodgers is ‘overhyped’ and an ‘overrated’ quarterback. He declared that Rodgers took part in and won one Super Bowl, which was nearly a decade ago.

However, Gutekunst and LaFleur hammered the final nails in the coffin. They said that they cannot see that kind of talent in Rodgers anymore. Even Packers writer, Bob McGinn said, “Public niceties aside, LaFLeur simply had enough of Rodgers’ act and wantd to change the narrative. With a first round talent on the roster, the Packers would gain leverage with their imperial quarterback.”

Is Aaron Rodgers necessary to the Packers’ plans?

“If the Packers do want to become a running team next season. They surely wouldn’t want Rodgers rocking the boat and becoming even more difficult to coach.”

McGinn suggested that the Green Bay Packers may steadily reduce Rodgers’ game time and play Jordan Love more. Finally, he believes that the tactic will work, but only if Jordan Love can play. Speaking of Jordan Love, Bayless admitted that the youngster is an unknown entity. However, Bob McGinn’s analysis was mixed, but leaned towards the negative. So, there is a lot of pressure on Love to replace Rodgers, and he could buckle.
