After months of waiting. It’s finally official. The Jacksonville Jaguars have signed rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence. The Clemson Tigers quarterback was the talk of the town months before the 2021 NFL Draft even came around.

Projected by several to be the first overall pick, Lawrence had been in touch with the Jacksonville Jaguars for months. And while the quarterback was drafted back in April, he signed his first ever pro contract on July 5th, 2021.

And while it’s a rookie contract, the money Trevor Lawrence will be making is not short change. As per NFL reporter Tom Pelissero, the 2021 first overall pick has signed a four-year $36.8 million deal which includes $24.1 million as the signing bonus.

The QB’s contract also includes a fifth year option which the Jaguars could activate a few year later down the line. But now with Lawrence officially a Jaguar, NFL Twitter filled in with its reactions.
