The New England Patriots spent a valuable draft pick to get Mac Jones in 2021. The young quarterback impressed the fans and experts alike in his first season. Even got a Pro Bowl selection under his belt. However, things are now far from where they were previously. The Patriots are struggling to improve their offense after last season. And although there are many problems currently contributing to this issue, the biggest culprit for the fans is Jones himself.

The Patriots recently hosted divisional rivals, the Buffalo Bills, for a Thursday Night match-up, where expectedly the visitors easily brushed past the hosts with a scoreline of 10-24. Leaving the Pats with a 6-6 record. It is not the worst in the league by any measure. Unfortunately, for Bill Belichick, it is the worst in the AFC East. Ultimately, the team will most probably be missing out on the playoffs for yet another season. And while things were looking up last season, doubts over the offense are only growing.

This season, Matt Patricia has taken over the responsibility of calling the shots for the offense. Prior to the change in title, Patricia only had defensive coaching experience. So his decisions have time and time again come to rub the fans the wrong way. And now even the quarterback is sharing the same frustrations. A video of Jones yelling at the coach is going viral right now. In the clip, you can see the 24-year-old passionately appeal to the coach to switch to the throwing game. And mentioned his displeasure with the running game. Just in a very different tone and language. This outburst from the quarterback has landed him in hot waters with the fans.

The video has not done any good for the player. Following his actions, he has received a lot of feedback from fans. And they are not too happy about the incident.

In addition to the other problems, this fan tried to remind Jones of his performances as well.

Further supporting the views of the other fans, this fan does not think that the former first-round pick is good enough to pull stuff like this.

Since the arrival of Bailey Zappe in the mix, it appears that Mac is already walking on a thin line. Zappe was brought in to be the backup quarterback to Jones. However, the 4th round pick of this draft class has impressed the fans. With him as a starter, the team is 2-0, while his overall record is 2-2. This has created just the perfect storm in Boston which could once again see a backup quarterback steal the thunder. Maybe that is exactly what they’ll hope for.
