His mother saw the horrific scenes from the stands at the Paycor Stadium. And the NFL world is doing everything in its power to console Hamlin’s tearful mom and pray for the Bills star.

Medics rushed onto the field to give him CPR and put him in an ambulance. According to reports, the ambulance waited for the player’s mother to ride with him to the hospital.

Hamlin collapsed during the first quarter of the game and the emergency medics rushed to give him CPR on the field. They then rushed him to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition.

The Week 17 showdown suspended 

The Monday Night Football clash between the two best teams in the NFL stands officially suspended. The game came to a grinding halt when Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field early. The Bills’ safety collided with the Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. Hamlin tried to get up after the tackle but then collapsed right back onto the field.

The game halted temporarily to pave the way for Hamlin’s treatment on the field. After the medics transported the player to the hospital, the teams got five minutes to warm up and start the game again. But how does one play with all the minds locked in a worry of their fellow player?

“They won’t be willing to go back onto the field until they know he’s OK. I just don’t know how any of these players can come out and play football tonight,” Troy Aikman said on air.

The NFL, in consultations with both teams, suspended the game for the night. A new date for the showdown will come out later. At the moment, everybody’s sole priority is Hamlin’s health. Earlier in the season, the Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa was rushed to the hospital after collapsing on the field against the Bengals. He came back strong. The fans hope for the same with Hamlin.
