Baker Mayfield was a hot topic in the offseason for his issues with the Browns. He got into a trade package that moved him to the Panthers. However, that relationship did not last after they waved him off. Mayfield landed with the Rams and became the miracle kid after shattering the Raiders.

In his first game with the Rams, Baker Mayfield picked 22 for 35 with 230 yards and a touchdown. He also achieved a 91.4 rating. His arrival brought hope to the franchise after Matthew Stafford was out for the rest of the season.

Baker Mayfield became a buzz after the Panthers picked him up in a highly anticipated trade. However, the Panthers pulled the trigger by waiving him off the franchise. Mayfield became a hot availability in the market and had wild locations to land. Apart from the Rams, the 49ers were also rumored to pick him up after losing Jimmy Garoppolo.

However, that did not happen, and Mayfield ended up in Los Angeles. As per the 49erswebzone, 49ers HC Kyle Shanahan claimed to be a fan of the QB, but they did not make it happen. He mentioned, “We’ll look into everything, but I feel pretty good with where we’re at right now.”
