It has been just three weeks since Baker Mayfield joined the Los Angeles Rams on a waiver. And it seems to have adjusted quite well. The former first-overall draft pick put up another solid performance as the Rams’ offense tore through the Denver Broncos in the week 16 clash. And the NFL world is sending warm hugs to the Rams QB for his brilliance.

Mayfield won the Nickelodeon Valuable Player award as the Rams ran riot at home against the Broncos.

The Broncos defense is said to be one of the best in the NFL. But it certainly did not look that way when they took the field against the Rams at SoFi Stadium on Christmas day. Baker Mayfield clinched the Nickelodeon Valuable Player award for his staggering performance against the Broncos. The Rams offense, with Mayfield under center, notched up more than four dozen points against the visitors as the reigning Super Bowl champions won 51-14.

The new Rams QB threw 24 completions for 230 yards. He had a completion rate of a staggering 85.71%.  Mayfield did not throw a single pick while scoring two touchdowns through the air. Although all the credit for the performance goes to Mayfield, Broncos’ QB Russell Wilson throwing three picks certainly helped the Rams to move faster.

Mayfield has geared up for three teams in this calendar year. But the Browns and the Panthers would certainly regret passing on him. And an even bigger question is, what happens at SoFi Stadium when Matthew Stafford comes back next year?
