Russell Wilson cannot slip further downhill. What lies below rock bottom? Whatever that place is called, Wilson found himself there after yet another humiliating loss. The Denver Broncos suffered another defeat to the Los Angeles Rams. Baker Mayfield led the team to a dominant 51-14 victory.

And if the humiliating loss did not suffice, an absurd entity rubbed salt on Wilson’s already gaping wounds. The incident is both hilarious and sad if you’re a Broncos fan.

Even a fictional character can’t help but take a shot at Russell Wilson
A popular fictional character roasted Russell Wilson to a crisp. In 2021 Paramount’s game broadcast that was aired on Nickelodeon became a fan favorite. This season, they brought it back for Christmas Day. The broadcast featured Patrick Star, voiced by Bill Fagerbakke, joining the live commentary. The character is not known for his quick wits. The starfish had some witty comebacks directed at Wilson.

Broncos Nation may have gotten sick of hearing statements about ‘Russ cooking’ on the field. Since there’s no evidence of Wilson serving the fans anything but disappointment, the phrase seems to have lost all meaning. But Patrick Star added a twist during the game by saying, “That’s not what he wanted to cook!” after Wilson threw an interception. To top it off, the other commentator added, “No, I think he burnt what he was cooking.” While Wilson did not receive any sympathy from the commentators, the reaction of the NFL world could probably burn a piece of toast without having to put it in the toaster.

Currently, at 4-11, the Broncos are the laughingstock of the league. Wilson was supposed to be the Broncos’ missing piece. But as it turns out, the QB has caused more puzzlement than anticipated. The initial ‘adjustment period’ has morphed into a routine lack of success. The Broncos’ chances have been extinguished. Broncos Nation will hope for a revitalization in the months to follow.
