The Seattle Seahawks have been a surprise powerhouse this NFL season. After a commanding victory over the in-form New York Giants on Sunday, wide receiver Tyler Lockett said some choice words about the new culture at Seattle in the post-Russell Wilson era.

Lockett believes in the Seahawks supremacy and considers Seattle to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender this season. Citing lessons learned from his high school coach, Locker said how teamwork is helping the NFC West division leaders and how things improve when players don’t hog the credits and focus on the job for the team.

After the off-season trade of their former star QB and Super Bowl winner Russell Wilson, nobody thought Seattle was going to be sitting at the top of the NFC West. The Seahawks are the only team in the division above .500 leading powerhouses like the 49ers and Super Bowl LVI winners LA Rams.

WR Tyler Lockett thinks that their work ethic has put the Seattle Seahawks on the playoff map this year. “When you look at the rookie class like, uh, they probably haven’t said 500 words since they’ve been here like they just put their head down and work.” Said Lockett. “Nobody cares who gets the credit.” He added. The wide receiver from Kansas State is currently in his eighth year with the Seahawks. Tyler started off slow against the Giants on Sunday. But turned things around with a spectacular double-move touchdown on Adoree’ Jackson.

The quarterback led selflessly with two touchdown passes and zero interceptions on 212 yards. It was an emotional moment for Smith when fans chanted his name after the game.
