For many football fans, Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback to have played in the NFL. And there’s good reason to believe so. With seven Super Bowl rings and multiple seemingly unbreakable winning records under his belt, the QB’s dominance is unparalleled.

Yet still, many argue that he isn’t the GOAT. Some fans and analysts are of the opinion that while Tom Brady is one of the best to have played the sports, there are a few names out there who are better than the quarterback at an individual level.

Peyton Manning the better QB over Tom Brady

Tom Brady’s biggest on field rival is undoubtedly Peyton Manning. The quarterback who entered the league in 1998 was one player who went toe-to-toe with Brady on several occasions.

Winning two Super Bowls and a record five MVP titles, the QB was recently inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. And former NFL player Marcellus Wiley feels that Manning makes a better case for being the GOAT.

“I always say Tom Brady’s the GOAT because I just don’t want to argue, but if you ask me who’s the best quarterback of all time, it’s Peyton Manning. It’s not even a conversation for me,” Wiley said during a segment of Speak For Yourself.

“I played against both guys, and that’s just my opinion. But to save myself my voice and my argument time, and being in the barbershop all night, I just go with the flow and say Tom Brady,” he added.

Wiley argued that Manning’s achievements at an individual level are still the best in league history. And that it definitely warrants him to be in the conversation of being the best ever.

“Peyton Manning has multiple championships; Aaron Rodgers does not, but he’s in the GOAT conversation, and Peyton Manning’s not?” he said. “Peyton Manning has five MVPs. Who else has five MVPs in the entire NFL’s history? No one.”

It honestly is too close to call when it comes to choosing between Brady and Manning. But if you had to make you pick, who would it be?
