Noteworthy Change in NFL Television Schedule Set to Delight Fans This Holiday Season

The upcoming season of the NFL is not far away. With the season scheduled to start on 8th September, fans are already excited for an exhilarating and enthralling forthcoming season. However, the fans were given a surprise ahead of the new season.

In a recent announcement, it is declared that the league will have three games on Christmas Day. Surprisingly, on the holiday that people cherish most, three games will be played for the first time in the sport’s history.

In a podcast, the NFL vice president of broadcasting Mike North came up with this announcement. He said, “Christmas when it falls on an NFL game day, we’ve had a lot of success there, all due respect to our friends at the NBA.”

He added, “It is something that our friends are interested in. If Christmas falls on a Sunday, it makes perfect sense.”

NFL follows the footsteps of the NBA

Christmas Day in America has usually been reserved for NBA Games throughout the day. Primarily, the most hyped games of the season are played on Christmas Day. Notably, people get a chance to enjoy watching the teams they love on their favorite holiday.

However, the NFL has also jumped into the idea of organizing games on Christmas. With NBA getting good viewership on games played on Christmas, the National Football League also want to treat its viewers with quality football on their favorite holiday.

Christmas this year falls on a Sunday. As a result, the idea of organizing three games for the first time at the festival came into reality. Unsurprisingly, the fans of the Sport were happy with the decision made by the league.

Christmas games have always provided good entertainment for fans worldwide. Hopefully, the same will be the case this time around with three games being played.
