Superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. has the NFL world waiting on pins and needles for an update about where he’s headed this season. The veteran receiver has been very cryptic about his potential choice. OBJ has made it known that he wants to play for a Super Bowl contender.
Persistently chased by various teams, the current free agent will have to make a decision soon. Who wouldn’t want to have a big gun like OBJ on their team? Despite Beckham Jr. coming off an injury, several teams are vying for his attention.

There is no doubt that Beckham will not go back to the LA Rams. The receiver is reportedly having conversations with the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs. OBJ has also received interest from the Buffalo Bills and his former team the New York Giants.

But, the San Francisco 49ers could really use OBJ this season. The 49ers’ general manager John Lynch has stated that they are looking to get better with someone like OBJ. He said, “Look, we never say no. We’re always looking to get better.” He also added, “And it’s a rarity when you have a player of that ilk and some other names out there that still might be available.” Does this indicate that the team will look at other contenders? Or are they taking a more mellow approach?

Beckham Jr. is set to visit the Giants and the Cowboys. According to reports, OBJ will be meeting the Cowboys on December 5. While Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has unabashedly declared his interest in acquiring the WR, there are other players in the game. Beckham’s former teammate, current Bills defensive star Von Miller has been actively recruiting the receiver on behalf of the Bills. In his latest podcast episode, Miller asked fans to be patient, saying that even though OBJ is visiting other teams, he [Beckham] will be impressed by the Bills. Currently, Miller is indefinitely out for the season after suffering an injury in their game against the Lions.
Do the 49ers stand a chance at acquiring Beckham?

Coming back to the 49ers, they are currently seated atop the NFC West. But, the team will need more firepower if they hope to be contenders for the Super Bowl. Could Odell Beckham Jr. do that for them? The 49ers would do themselves a favor if they find their way onto OBJ’s free-agency tour. A potential decision will probably be taken after the wide receiver visits his top contenders. Until then, the NFL world will grasp onto breadcrumbs that hint at OBJ’s potential future.
