It is worth noting that OBJ’s last game came at the Super Bowl in 2022 when the Rams beat the Bengals to win it all. The 30-year-old wide receiver suffered an ACL injury, which ruled him out of action for more than a year now. Despite his injury, Beckham Jr. has been a hot commodity in the NFL, and in the latter part of the 2022 season, the Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, was reportedly interested in signing him. Unfortunately, the negotiations didn’t result in a deal. Yet, rumors suggest that the Cowboys are still pursuing Beckham Jr., and he may have sparked the interest of other teams with his recent teasing.

Last year, the Giants made it to the Divisional round, where they lost against the Eagles. This season, they are trying to go further, as they acquired some great talents from the free agency, including superstar TE Darren Waller. Now, if they acquire the services of OBJ, they will certainly become one of the favorites to win the NFC East. Moreover, it will be like a perfect homecoming for OBJ as well.

OBJ’s demands are extremely high

In 2022, numerous reports emerged that the pass catcher was seeking a deal worth approximately $20 million per year. His failure to secure a deal in the previous season could have been attributed to this demand, as well as his ongoing injury concerns.

Now, a recent report suggests that OBJ is asking for the same amount of money, which could be a little bit difficult for him to get. Moreover, many fans believe that he won’t get such a massive deal. As mentioned earlier, the Cowboys are still interested in him. So, it will be interesting to see if Jones and co. go all out for the WR; or else OBJ has to sit out one more season, which won’t be ideal for him.
