OBJ was very close to joining a host of NFL franchises after his release and nearly would not have made the Super Bowl. NFL Franchises like the Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, and New England Patriots were really after his signature. He did admit that he was close to joining the Saints but felt it wasn’t the right move at the time.

The New Orleans native could also have teamed up with the Patriots coach Bill Belichick and QB Mac Jones. OBJ shared that one of his dream scenarios was teaming up with Tom Brady a few years prior in New England. He ended up choosing the Rams due to his special relationship with someone he has known for years.

Odell Beckham Jr. slowly but steadily playing a key role

Since his move to the City of Angels, the wideout has seen a career resurgence of sorts. A player, who was always someone who never made it to the next level, OBJ is doing it now with the Rams. He has made some crucial catches along the way and aided his team to move the ball upfield. The choice made by his intuition rewards him with an opportunity to capture the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

While discussing his move to the Rams, he states, “All of the things, all of the signs … when it got quiet, it’s just something about this place that called. Aside from Jalen Ramsey, Von Miller. … It just felt right in my heart and it felt right in my gut. It felt like other things I was trying to make work and this was the one that was calling me.

The game will be taking place at the SoFi Stadium, home of the Los Angeles Rams. OBJ does find himself only one win short of a life-long dream to be NFL champion. It will be a career-defining moment in the NFL for OBJ, who has been waiting for this since day one.
