Odell Beckham Jr. is a talented WR who suffered an injury setback in the Rams’ Super Bowl triumph. As the NFL season heads into Week 9, many fans wonder whether OBJ would team up this season. He is not fully recovered from the torn ACL and thus he seems disinterested in signing with any team.

However, the Bills are looking forward to adding the star receiver. In an interview, Bills General Manager, Brandon Beane, said that Beckham Jr. is one heck of a talent. He added that the team has conducted preliminary talks with OBJ’s agent. We’ve talked a little to his agent. We will see where it goes,” Beane said on Sirius XM’s ‘Mad Dog Radio’.

What is the obstacle before Odell Beckham Jr.?

Bills outside linebacker, Von Miller, posted a story with Beckham Jr. as rumors sparked about a new deal. If OBJ is to sign with the Bills, he will join Stefon Diggs (55 catches for 764 yards and seven touchdowns in 2022) and Gabriel Davis (418 yards, three touchdowns). Being an impact player, at least four teams are vying for the 30 YO super talent.

This would mean that the winning team will have to shell out huge money to get hold of the superstar. “If we did go after Odell, you have to remember there are financials, there are roles, there are all sorts of things that would all have to line up,” Beane said. Another key factor is about his role, as Diggs and Davis are certainties in the lineup. How would the Bills squeeze in a crucial talent like OBJ to the team? It is a key question that they would like to resolve soon.

Bills struggle with finance

The Bills only have $930,000 in cap space, which is the second-lowest in the NFL. It would mean that they have to release more players to buy OBJ. It could also put the team’s combination at risk. There is no timeline for the return of the star receiver. Tom Brady suffered an ACL tear in 2008, which kept him out of the game for a long period.
