The veteran wide receiver is getting the mega pay raise after six seasons, and a Super Bowl win. But JuJu Smith-Schuster does not seem to be fond of the franchise in the past.

JuJu wasn’t a Patriots fan before!

It looks like back in 2019, JuJu Smith-Schuster was not a fan of the New England Patriots. He shared a picture where he could be seen taking a selfie with a kid wearing a Patriots jersey at the 2018 Pro Bowl. He wrote, “Ewwwww!!! A Patriots fan!!!” Probably the WR did not like the franchise when he was a Steeler back in the day.

The Football fandom unearthed the years-old image from Twitter and is having fun with it.

One user made the prediction back in 2019 already!

Buttcrack Sports referred to a Roy Johnson GIF

Despite the past hate, one user expressed his admiration for Smith-Schuster.

This user would rather keep his thoughts to themselves.

Moreover, this user pulled up the WR’s animated graphic of wearing a Patriots jersey

Another user responded to Smith Schuster’s tweet but in a nice way.

However, this user still hails JuJu as a GOAT.

As per ESPN, JuJu Smith-Schuster received a three-year $33 million deal with the Patriots. The New England fans are ecstatic, but a former franchise athlete seems unimpressed.

Ex-Patriots WR upset over franchise’s deal with JuJu Smith-Schuster

The Patriots made an overhaul in their offensive sector with the addition of JuJu Smith-Schuster. But they also let go of a few athletes, and among them was Jakobi Meyers. The departing WR joined the Las Vegas Raiders to join Jimmy Garoppolo and others. But Meyers seems disappointed with the Pats bringing in JuJu.

After Ian Rapoport revealed Smith-Schuster’s contract worth, Meyers responded, “Cold world lol.” Since the WR never intended to leave the franchise, it was a bummer for him. Additionally, the new WR’s pay raise could be a reason for his dissatisfaction with the situation.

Will Smith-Schuster be able to fulfill its worthiness in the patriots? It is subject to witness.
