‘Once the Storm Is Over’: Tampa Bay Buccaneers Star WR Chris Godwin Issues a Statement Following His Season Ending ACL Injury

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were hit by adversity after the news of the season-ending ACL injury of Chris Godwin broke out. He sustained the injury during his 0-9 Week 15 shutout to the Saints. And now, as the Bucs are on their way to progress to the playoffs, Godwin is said to be sidelined for it.

Times like these either make or break the athlete, and Godwin is in no way going to let it take a toll on his head. Instead, he took to Instagram with some inspirational words for all those who are going through some tough times just like him. Godwin just emitted some enlightening words and showered upon those who needed it the most.

Chris Godwin enlightens everyone

“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive,” Godwin wrote in the caption. “You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.”

However, it was not just Chris Godwin who picked up an injury Sunday night. Along with him, wideout Mike Evans and running back Leonard Fournette also suffered injuries during the game. Although, according to Ian Rapoport, Evans is to return for the next week’s matchup against the Panthers. But Fournette is unfortunately expected to miss out.

So during this time of added ailments to the roster, Bruce Arians will be looking up to Antonio Brown, who might make a return from his suspension this week. The Buccaneers have three more games to go before finishing off the 2022 regular season and moving on to claim the Super Bowl once again. However, this time without the likes of Chris Godwin.
