Aaron answered, “Well, I still have love for the game never went away. Just thinking about what I wanted life to be like in 2023. And this has definitely exceeded all my expectations and all the thoughts I had in that dark place for a few days.”

He reflected on his role as a mentor to young players and the positive impact it has on him. He even went to accept a $35 million pay cut in order to afford young talent for the future of the team. He credited the influence of legendary quarterback Brett Favre for this and believes it is his duty to prepare the next generation.
