The Washington Commanders might have made the most memorable comeback and set the record straight against the Denver Broncos. Conversely, this might have been one of the most embarrassing games for the Broncos. Russell Wilson’s prayers weren’t answered even after a desperate Hail Mary. The unexpected comeback soon turned into a dark reality for the Broncos after they lost the game that was practically theirs.

The ending of the game gave a glimmer of hope to the waning Broncos after Brandon Johnson had the touchdown. The play was reminiscent of what Roger Staubach did back in 1975 against the Vikings. Despite the effort, the Broncos tasted the grass in their own pasture. People might debate about the outcome of the game, but it was thrilling, to say the least. Commanders have a 2-0 record after the game.
However, Stephen A. Smith felt a little irked after what transpired and went on a rant of his own.

Smith bashes Russell Wilson
In the recent episode of ESPN’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith went on a tirade against the Broncos, especially Russell Wilson. He said something so controversial that some people might not be able to digest it. “The only thing good that Russell Wilson has brought to the city of Denver is Ciara”. The gag made Shannon Sharpe laugh. The expression on Smith’s face made it difficult to point out whether he was serious or not.
Smith moved on to talk about Sean Payton, saying that this might not have been a good beginning for him. He mentioned how the Commanders covered a deficit of 21-3, given their “Corny” name, and suggested that the team change their name. Despite the name-calling, Smith commended Commanders’ quarterback Sam Howell for his performance.
