Tom Brady had announced his retirement from football following the Bucs’ loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional round. Brady’s decision shocked everyone because he was playing at an elite level.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback soon announced his return to football before the start of free agency. Once again, it surprised everyone because few expected Brady to play again following the announcement of his retirement. Former Buccaneer and NFL legend Warren Sapp gave his view on the Brady situation.

Warren Sapp claimed that nobody knows what a person is going through, and Brady was relatively healthy when he retired. He further claimed that his O-line protected him well and didn’t let the opposing players hit him like they hit Ben Roethlisberger.
While talking about why Brady unretired, Sapp said, “So now he got home for two days, and I bet that honeydew list was good and long got four kids under 12, shh, you the school bus, the grocery van, the recreational teacher. You coming into the school for some aqua day… I’m telling you that list gets long because you don’t have the one thing that you’ve always said, I’m going to work, and he’s been doing it 20 plus years…”
Maybe Tom Brady got a reality check on what life is without football. Or probably, Brady wasn’t accustomed to living like that, so he announced a quick return to play next season.
