All-Pro Pat McAfee didn’t know to punt kick?

McAfee calls that he was ‘Nervous as Hell’. He then mentions, “I didn’t even really know how to punt. And, on the other hand, I’m going to Peyton Manning’s team the first time I was in the building. Literally, you kind of get showcased around like a rookie, and I saw Peyton. there was this light around him, you know, he had these gators around his glasses, tacky shorts on, classic southern guy, and he comes over and he goes, ‘Hey Pal, I’m Peyton Manning.’ I’m like, I know. Thanks, “I’m Pat McAfee and I don’t know how to punt.”

As unbelievable as it may seem, McAfee became “The” punter and kick return expert, who also put together an extraordinary highlight reel, not something you’d expect from a gunner. McAfee retrieved his own onside kick, fake punted, and hit returning men with defensive tackle-level hits.

Moreover, McAfee continues to live his dream, of having a wrestling match in WrestleMania Match against Austin Theory. This moved him to win, but then lose an impromptu bout with Mr. McMahon. He then had a defining WrestleMania moment with Stone Cold Steve Austin and also got hit by a stunner. Yet Pat McAfee maintains to be the speedy, slapdash journalist that, more than nearly any other modern athlete interviewer, encourages his participants to open up more.
