The Kansas City Chiefs put the Jacksonville Jaguars to the sword in the week 10 game on Sunday Night Football. And QB Patrick Mahomes was at the heart of everything. Such was his performance that it prompted NFL legend Tony Romo to heap praises at the Chiefs slinger.

It was a complete performance indeed from the Chiefs QB. He had a central role in everything that the Chiefs did offensively.

Tony Romo praises Patrick Mahomes

Former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo saw the Chiefs playing the Jaguars from the CBS broadcasting booth. Romo said that earlier Patrick Mahomes had both Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce to look for.

“He could keep looking at either one of them (Hill and Kelce) and one of them was eventually going to find a way to get open, but you’d watch some games and then a playoff game or something it’d be like — he’s one-on-one out there,” Romo said about the Chiefs QB.

Since then, Hill has gone to the Miami Dolphins. Kelce is still at Arrowhead Stadium, but according to Romo, the departure of Hill has brought forth a new dimension to Mahomes’ game.

“Now all of a sudden, his football knowledge has caught up with his athleticism and his instinctual God-given gifts. And you’re seeing a guy aggressively take what the defense gives him and he’s finding the leverage and the one-on-one guy over and over again,” Romo said. Since losing to the Buffalo Bills in week six, the Chiefs’ game has risen considerably. The Kansas-based franchise is unbeaten for three straight games since then.

The Chiefs put the Jaguars to the sword

The Chiefs came into the game on a two-game winning streak and a 6-2 record. The Jaguars, having played a game extra, were at 3-6. And in the end, it turned out to be an all-out Patrick Mahomes show.

The Chiefs quarterback threw 26 completions in the game for 331 yards. He threw four touchdown passes for his team. The Jaguars’ defense managed to intercept one of his 35 pass attempts. But by the time the interception came, it was already too late. The Chiefs comfortably won 27-17.

Kansas sits comfortably at the top of the AFC West divisional table with a 7-2 record. The Jaguars are third in the AFC South table with three wins in 10 games so far this season. Will Mahomes lead the Chiefs to another Super Bowl? Where will the Jaguars finish at the end of the season?
