Free agent Colin Kaepernick is finally making a comeback to the gridiron but with a twist. Additionally, top-tier athletes from the league, such as the defending champ, Patrick Mahomes, and runner-up champ, Jalen Hurts will also be there. There has been no shortage of rumors and speculations, since the former 49ers kneeled on the field in protest, back in 2016, which landed him in a world of hurt. No team from the league has yet shown any interest in the former QB, and to add salt to the wound, fellow athletes have mocked him time and time again, since the kneeling incident.

The arcade-style game is set to be released on October 10 and will feature the likes of Mahomes, Hurts, T.J. Watt, Aaron Donald, and many more. The game’s parent company, Saber Interactive, joined hands with NFL player associations and OneTeam Partners, in order to make this happen. The 35-year-old former QB has yet to receive an official offer from a team, which took an unexpected turn last year. After working with the Raiders in 2022, rumors filled the community about his return, but that never really happened. Amidst these uncertainties, Former LB, Terence Garvin, who also played for the 49ers, a few years after Colin’s departure, made his voice known, throwing shade at the former QB. He spitefully said, “The senior prom was like 6 years ago, bro! It’s over!” followed by, “It’s over, bro. You are still trying to be the prom queen. It’s a wrap. You took that money.” Garvin further added, “What if you come in here and say something crazy?

The ex-linebacker further commented on Colin’s potential to become a liability, potentially igniting a rally that could place his team in a predicament. The former quarterback had previously filed a lawsuit against the league in 2017, alleging that team owners conspired to keep him out of the league.
