He donned a headband during an offseason workout, earning him the moniker “Headband Joe Burrow.” Amidst the humor and banter, Joe Burrow’s headband actually seems to carry a message!

Fans playfully compared Burrow to Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs. Some speculated that Burrow’s headband may help him become a 2023 MVP candidate. Burrow hasn’t clarified why he chose to wear a headband or if he’ll keep it for the regular season.

The NFL’s official Twitter account shared a video of Burrow wearing a headband and looking cool as a cucumber in an all black ensemble, which quickly went viral, sparking comments from fans and media.

A user said that Joe Burrow is trying to look like Patrick Mahomes, a player known for his headband. They also mention that unlike Mahomes he hasn’t won any championships yet, but at least Burrow can try to imitate his fashion choices.

One fan believes that the Chiefs no longer have a chance of winning.

Another Tweet (@UriahSav22): Mentions that Joe Burrow has been spending time in the gym during the off-season and jokes about going into “Beast mode” in “Burrowhead,” a play on words referring to the Bengals stadium. They also mention other players who wore headbands before Mahomes, clarifying that Mahomes did not invent the trend.

Wearing a shirt that read “Sorry in Advance,” Joe Burrow made his arrival at the venue, capturing the attention of the NFL world.

After Kansas City’s 23-20 victory, Burrow told Mahomes, “Go win it now,” with Mahomes replied, “Yes sir.” Burrow and Mahomes exchanged handshakes, and Burrow encouraged Mahomes to win it all.
