The NFL power couple Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews never fail to catch the spotlight. Although they have always been a subject of media attention, they just included a new young member in the league. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his one-year-old daughter got featured in a recent commercial for Oakley, the sunglasses and apparel that Mahomes has been supporting for a long time.

The 26-year-old signal-caller is poised to play in the sixth NFL season of his career, and he’s already a big name in the world of pro football. Earning a Super Bowl title is a big achievement, and this very attainment helped him garner the interest of various business ventures. The youngster signed a deal with Oakley in 2018, and since then, he was an avid promoter of their fancy sunglasses. In the recent commercial, Mahomes was seen holding her daughter and narrating some motivational lines to her.

“To my number one pick, welcome to life. You’re already perfect, and here’s some advice. Stay focused, stay hungry, be loyal and lead. When the team feels like family, that’s all that you’ll need. There’s only one you, you’ll shine bright as a star. Just lead with your heart and be who you are.” He said in the commercial snippet. The video flashed through a series of events, including Mahomes’ childhood, high school, and entering the league.

His wife, Brittany Matthews, who also happens to be a sports fanatic, tweeted about the commercial, saying that it was her daughter’s first commercial with Daddy and requested her followers to watch her

On the work front, the business is getting serious with each passing day. The preseason has already begun with the Chiefs losing to the Bears 19-14 in their first game. While in the training camps, Mahomes is busy honing his football skills and impressing his teammates.

Wide Receiver Justin Watson, who recently joined the Chiefs after spending significant time with Tom Brady, mentioned that Mahomes’ work ethic is similar to that of the Buccaneers quarterback. “Working with Pat, you see some many of the same characteristics. It’s no surprise that two great quarterbacks are similar in so many ways and just his competitiveness and mentality,” Watson said in the press conference.

On September 12th, Kansas City will face the Arizona Cardinals in the season opener. Chiefs fans can now expect some action as the gunslinger is ready to run for his second title.
