In a Twitter video, the former linebacker, and NFL Analyst cloned Saquon and spilled his views on Barkley’s contract issue. According to him, Patrick Mahomes could be the reason for the current situation of running backs.

“Until a running back proves that you can be the catalyst for your team when you get the Super Bowl, the running back market will continue to depreciate, and in the Patrick Mahomes Super Bowl era, Patrick Mahomes started winning Super Bowls, but running backs haven’t got paid why because you don’t need to pay them,” he said.

“The Chief drafted a running back in the first round quite out of the layer; he did not pay and out, and they still need the Super Bowl.”

When Patrick Mahomes debuted as a quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs for the first time, he made an outstanding performance in the Super Bowl. He won MVP at such a young age, which indeed proves his caliber. This incident made Emmanuel think that until a running back proves his catalyst, their value will depreciate.

Saquon and Josh Jacob’s contract disputes

The running back controversy has been a point of discussion this offseason. Players including Saquon Barkley and Josh Jacob failed to sign the tenders with their respective teams.
