Adam Schefter gave a positive update on Patrick Mahomes’ leg as the injury scare grows. The initial X-rays on his ankle came out negative, which is a good sign for the Chiefs. However, there is a risk of a high ankle knee sprain that could affect the QB1 in the AFC Championship. On Sunday, the athlete would have an MRI to get a broad picture of the situation.

After the game, Andy Reid mentioned via NFL.com, “He’s a tough kid. So, he wanted to be in there. He wanted to be competing. It’s a tribute to him and his competitiveness. However, you got to make sure he’s physically OK where he can protect himself. If he can’t then he can’t play, and we have to go to the next guy. But he’s a tough nut.”
