Patrick Mahomes Mourns the Loss Multiple Football Players Killed in Shooting in University of Virginia

In a shocking piece of news, three Virginia Cavaliers football players passed away this Sunday during a mass shooting incident. This incident shocked many fans and players, including the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
According to reports, former running back of the Cavaliers, Christopher Darnell Jones, was responsible for the incident. After the incident, the UVA police were searching for him relentlessly and finally apprehended him.

Meanwhile, UVA President Jim Ryan released a statement after the incident. The statement says, “One of our students, Christopher Darnell Jones, Jr., is suspected to have committed the shooting. The suspect remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous. Multiple law enforcement agencies are coordinating to find and apprehend him.”
As per reports, three players were killed, and two players got injured in the shooting incident. Cavaliers linebacker D’Sean Perry, receiver Lavel Davis Jr., and receiver Devin Chandler were the ones who passed away.

After the incident, the UVA police department posted a tweet with a picture of Darnell Jones and warned the public to call 911. Notably, Darnell Jones has been a part of the Cavaliers team in the 2018 season; however, he did not play any games. In the 2018-19 season, he was completely out of the squad and the reason is still unknown. In the current season also, his name was not on the list of the Cavaliers’ players.
On Tuesday, Darnell Jones will most likely make his first court appearance. His father and mother spoke about his son’s actions, as they could not believe it was him.

Earlier, the Chiefs QB, Mahomes took to Twitter and wrote, “Prayers for @UVAFootball.“
