Patrick Mahomes is one of the best QBs in the NFL today. Many think of the Chiefs QB as Tom Brady’s successor in the NFL once the GOAT retires. In fact, he has an ongoing rivalry with Brady whenever the Chiefs play the Bucs. The quarterback is not the only one in his family who is famous, though. His younger brother Jackson is quite the celebrity himself because of his TikTok videos.

Mahomes is known to be incredibly close to his family. However, there was an occasion in 2021 when the QB was quite embarrassed because of his brother. It was in the aftermath of a Chiefs game that one of Jackson’s actions led to Mahomes having to face the media’s glare.

Jackson Mahomes led to Patrick Mahomes being questioned by the media?

During the Chiefs loss to the Ravens in the 2021 season, Jackson Mahomes was in the stadium along with Patrick’s wife (then fiancee) Brittany Matthews. The game was a home game for Baltimore, so the stadium was full of Baltimore fans. Two of these fans seated were near the box where Patrick Mahomes’ family was sitting. After the Chiefs lost to the Ravens, these fans started heckling and trash talking the Mahomes.

In return, an exasperated Jackson poured a bottle of water on the Ravens fans before he left the station, it did not sit well with some people and Patrick Mahomes had to answer the media.

Regarding Jackson’s reaction to trash talk, Patrick also said, “I mean, he’s been good at it, at not trying to respond to that stuff. He takes a lot, and he’s usually pretty good at it. And he’ll learn from it and just try to stay away from those people as best he can.”

How has been Mahomes’ NFL career so far?

Mahomes has played five seasons in the NFL so far. He replaced the Chiefs’ incumbent QB Alex Smith in only his second season. The 26-year-old QB has a win-loss record of 50-13-0 in the NFL. Mahomes won his first Super Bowl in the 2019 season, defeating the San Francisco 49ers.

Patrick Mahomes has so far always kept an absolutely spotless media image. However, Jackson does not have had the same level of interest in keeping with the spotless image. He is more carefree, which often leads to unforeseeable situations like the one which embarrassed Patrick. Being careful with such situations would definitely lead to the QB not having to face the media.
