The NFL fans would see Patrick Mahomes as one of the hottest commodities in the NFL. In just a few years, he accomplished the success one might desire to achieve in the league. However, the QB once nearly bailed out on football to do something else. Luckily, his mother, Randi Mahomes, came to rescue the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs Kingdom should appreciate Randi, wife of ex-MLB Pitcher Patrick Mahomes Sr. to keep junior Patrick in the game. In an interview with FOX4’s Kathy Quinn, Mother Mahomes reflects on how football was not the Grim Reaper’s priority. Mahomes had doubts regarding the sport, but she convinced him not to leave the football turf.

As per Goalcast, Mother Mahomes recalls Patrick Jr. being an introverted child when he was younger. Traveling or visiting places like Disney World or the Yankee Stadium did not motivate him. His main passion was athletics, and he would devote every ounce of his soul to succeeding at it.
Without Randi Mahomes, the NFL Universe would not see Patrick Mahomes in an NFL team calling the plays. She remains the sole family from the QB’s Texas days to cheer him up and choose football as a profession. She is also the one whom the Chiefs fans should admire for Patrick’s choice to don the red and gold jersey.

Pat Mahomes Sr. mentioned, “I remember coming home from a recruit visit with Texas and they were recruiting as a safety. I was telling him, ‘Why don’t we just quit this and let’s just concentrate on the other two?’ I said we’re just wasting the time with this football thing. He said, ‘Dad I want to be out there with my teammates. I want to be out there with the guys I’ve been playing with forever and I couldn’t see myself in the stands watching them.’ Luckily he didn’t listen to me.”
